Growing the Next Generation Through Sport
The AmaZulu King’s Golf Cup is about more than one sporting event. Our vision is to use sport as a platform to create opportunities, build confidence and expose young people to experiences that may otherwise be beyond their reach.
As part of this vision, we are expanding our youth development initiatives beyond golf to include hockey and cricket clinics and tournaments for children from underprivileged communities.
GOLF
Opening the fairway.
We are working to widen access to golf and create pathways for young talent from rural communities to learn, play and be discovered.
AMAZULU HOCKEY CLUB
Play. Learn. Compete.
Through clinics, coaching sessions and development tournaments, the AmaZulu Hockey Club will introduce young people to the fundamentals of hockey and help identify promising talent.
Our focus is on children in communities where access to facilities, equipment and coaching is limited.
CRICKET
Confidence through play.
Cricket clinics and tournaments will create opportunities for children to experience organised sport and grow through coaching, mentorship and competition.
MORE THAN SPORT
It is about access.
This initiative is not only about developing good golfers, hockey players or cricketers. It is about giving every child an opportunity to discover a talent they may never have known they had.
OUR VISION
A sustainable youth sports programme.
Through partnerships with schools, communities, sporting organisations, coaches and corporate partners, we want to create regular clinics, tournaments and development opportunities across KwaZulu-Natal and, in time, beyond.
